Hi! Everyone its Victoria, First Impressions’ Patient and Marketing Coordinator! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. This past Friday I had the honor of attending my sons’ school field trip as a chaperone, to Patterson Farms.
It started out as a chilly morning, ending was pure sunlight. As we arrived at Patterson farm we saw hay pumpkins, hay scarecrows and hay spiders, with tons real pumpkins in the distance! The folks at Patterson were so friendly!
The first stop on our tour was the playground. The kids loved it! It’s huge with over 8 different sections. The corn and sand boxes were among my son’s favorite place to play. The corn box is nicely covered to avoid a sunburn. The pirate ship was also neat, it sat closely to the cornfield.
Once we finished up at the playground we headed up to eat lunch at the picnic tables overlooking the corn. We didn’t realize until we had already started eating that they offered a Snack Silo, I plan to try that when I take my family back.
Our next stop was a visit to the barn and the barnyard. The kids watched a video to learn about the farm, then we moved into the barnyard, where the kids got to feed the animals. There was a larger goat that kept taking the food from the smaller goats. The kids thought the animals were so neat!
Next, we headed over to plant lettuce. The kids each planted lettuce in their own cup that they got to take home. Hopefully our lettuce grows; sometimes I’m known to over water my plants!
Finally, we headed on the hayride! The kids were looking forward to it all day! The hayride consisted of a tour of the farm. We got to see the raised planting beds and pumpkins still on the vines! It’s quite bumpy, a good version of off roadin!
We ended our day by picking out pumpkins! As we drove away from the farm, I couldn’t help but think what a wonderful day we had and I couldn’t wait to take my family back.
Hey Everyone! It’s Victoria, the marketing and scheduling coordinator at First Impressions! I can’t believe how fast the year has gone by! It’s finally fall and I can feel the cooler weather in my bones. I love opening the windows and having a mixture of pumpkin candles with the crackle of leaves in the trees. My front porch is lined with pumpkins waiting to be carved with my family. Thanksgiving and Christmas are only a few weeks away. As the holidays grow closer a lot of your dental insurance benefits are about to expire and I want to help you maximize your insurance benefits!
For those of you with calendar year (January to December) insurance plans, the time has come to evaluate your insurance benefits and “use it or lose it!” Have you been putting off getting treatment? If so the time is now!
Proper dental Care and the need for completion of your treatment is a top priority to Dr. Jennifer. Letting your treatment go untreated can cause more expensive dental issues in the future and can ultimately compromise your overall health. Did you know a dental abscess can lead to sepsis if left untreated? We never want this to be the case with our patients. With our schedule filling up, I want to remind you to call and schedule to really maximize your insurance benefits.
Follow these simple steps to maximize your insurance benefits!
Call your insurance company to determine your remaining benefits, as you know this will range per person per insurance company. This is why it’s so important to do your research and know what your insurance policy covers, this goes for medical and dental. The more you know the more you stay in control of your health.
When calling your insurance company keep in mind if you have received dental care elsewhere your remaining benefits may be different than what we have on record.
During your comprehensive exam, Dr. Jennifer evaluated your mouth and determined the priority of your treatment. When you call to schedule your appointment we can evaluate your overall max with the most important treatment items to see how many treatments we can take care of before the end of the year.
Once January rolls around, we can schedule any treatment we have delayed for insurance benefits as soon as possible.
If you have any questions on insurance and treatment plans, please give our office a call. We look forward to the start of the holidays!
